During this 10 month course, students will explore yoga practices through the lens of Chinese Medicine. Areas of study include the anatomy of energy channels, organs and their corresponding element/emotions/spirit, meridian pathology, how to correct imbalances through practice, how to practice according to natural cycles and how yogic practices change our karmic imprint and align us to our deep sense of purpose. This knowledge will be presented through a combination of theory/discussion and practice/yogic exercises.

 

Format

This 100-Hour Teacher Training is broken down into 4 quarters. Each quarter begins with a 2-day weekend intensive followed by a 7-day mandala practice.


First Quarter Energetic Anatomy: Meridians, Chakras and Nadis
February 11–12, 2023 in San Diego and Online


Second Quarter The Five Elements: Organs, Emotions and Spirit
May 13–14, 2023 in San Diego and Online

Meridian Therapy Mandala
July 8th–14th (Online)


Third Quarter Practicing in Rhythm: Solar, Seasonal and Lunar Cycles
August 26–27, 2023 in San Diego and Online


Fourth Quarter Energetic DNA: The 8 Extraordinary Vessels, Karmic Imprint, and Knowing our Purpose
November 4–5, 2023 in San Diego and Online

Following each weekend intensive will be a 7 day mandala practice to reinforce and work with the new material and concepts. These mandalas will be held online and are 2 hours each day. All sessions will be recorded.

Mandala dates/times will be decided by the group based on the collective availability.

 

What will we be doing?

The 2 day weekend intensives will contain 6 hours of lecture based on the curriculum outlined above.

During the 7 day mandalas you will learn and practice yogic exercises such as kriyas, asana, pranayama, breathing techniques and meditation that apply the theory to the practice.

Yoga teachers, yoga enthusiasts, advanced yoga practitioners, acupuncturists, massage therapists. No formal pre-requisites required.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and be able to teach Yogic Exercises for Meridian Therapy classes.

Each student is encouraged to digest this information and let it become a part of their own individual expression. This may mean teaching classes, offering one-on-one sessions, incorporating it into their existing teachings or using it’s wisdom to better care for themselves and their family.
