The Work

Three days at the height of summer. We gather when yang energy reaches its fullness, when light is longest and the life force has climbed the entire length of the spine, like sap rising through a tree in full leaf.

This is work of expression and balance. The yang has filled each vertebrae. We practice voicing what wants to be spoken, extending outward in communion with the forest, while learning to temper that outward movement with necessary retreat.

This gathering happens once. The forest at solstice, the particular convergence of these practices and practitioners, the specific humans who come together for this work. If you feel the pull to be witnessed in your fullness, to practice both extension and restraint, to work with what is alive in you at this threshold, come.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Structure

Friday Evening

Arrive 3-5 pm.

5pm: Movement and breath with Angela Patriarca. Arriving in the body after travel.

Dinner, followed by opening circle and establishing the container for our time together.

Saturday

Morning (8am): Movement and breath practice with Angela. We begin each day by working with the spine, the channel through which yang ascends.

Breakfast.

Midday: Introduction to the waterfalls. Learning the terrain.

Afternoon (2pm): Breath work with Neika. Extended session working with voice and expression, allowing what has risen to move outward through sound and breath.

Evening (8pm): Environments for dreaming, sound, and rest. The necessary withdrawal after extension.

Sunday

Morning (8am): Final movement and breath practice with Angela.

Breakfast.

Late Morning: Group journey to the waterfall. Bringing our practice into direct relationship with the forest and water.

Afternoon (12:30pm): Gong bath with Jessie Negrete for integration.

Closing circle. Depart by 3pm.
